Chamberlain 3/4 hp Whisper drive garage opener problem

Is there something wrong with my opener set up? The rail seems to flex towards the end. This has been installed for 4 years and the gears inside the motor just stripped out. I replaced the motor and am trying to make adjustments. I do not know where the adjustment is to correct this belt rail flex. I tried adjusting the length of the arm connecting the trolley to the door. Need some help!

Noisy garage door – could it be the rollers? and which is better, plastic or metal?

Garage door making LOUD squeaky noises and sometimes jerking a tad when lifting up. Had service come out once and the tech tried to sell me $300 metal rollers – said they were better and that the current plastic rollers could be hazardous(???). He was rather pushy so I got the feeling he just wanted to make a sale. Anyway, after he did general maintenance the door was fine for a few months and now acting up again. Wondering if I should really fork out the $$ for the metal rollers? Thanks for your comments.

installed on 9/2010, suddenly stopped working, get two garage door repair guy coming, the diagnosis is the mortar is dead. One guy said genie is really bad, should go with liftmaster.
But i thought the genie should have some kind of warranty, right? Any one know how to get the warranty service, how long it takes?

If you’ve gotten this far, congratulations you might be able to start searching for a good automatic garage door opener. I’ve found the run-of-the-mill units tend to be superior than the more expensive openers. I’ve had significantly better luck with cheaper units than costlier ones.

In the house I live currently in, I had to install 2 openers. One was a pricier unit was on sale and the other was a less expensive unit. The expense one lasted just about 4 years and died. Yet one which was the cheaper unit is still running after several years of service.
